The Worthington Education Association has established and actively maintains a scholarship that is awarded to a member's child on an annual basis. Fundraising efforts provide the foundation for this scholarship which include an annual golf outing.
FRIEND OF EDUCATION/RETIREMENT RECEPTION
The Worthington Education Association annually recognizes retiring members for their years of service to the school district and our organization.
READ ACROSS
AMERICA
WEA once again sponsored a variety of activities to promote and celebrate reading through NEA’s Read Across America program. For a collection of photos and a variety of other ways chosen to celebrate Read Across America, please click here. Also, officially launched the same day was this year’s Book Drive for the Children’s Hospital "Reach Out and Read" Program. A list of those who have donated to this worthy cause are available here as well.
During the week of Feb. 24 –28, 2003, the Worthington Education Association and classroom teachers invited many special guests to join classrooms as guest readers. See the photos of their wonderful experiences with students.
